“An afternoon of ballads, songs and snatches” is being staged at Holmbridge Church Hall by the Huddersfield Gilbert and Sullivan Society, of which Carlton was a member.

The concert starts at 4:00pm on Sunday 27th January 2013 and is two hours long.

Tickets are £7.00 each, which includes light refreshments during the interval.

Because of the sales success of the 430 exhibitors in the Main Exhibition and the 200+ in the market, it is proving logistically impossible to continue to pay out exhibitors within 2 hours of the closure of the event.

It has therefore been decided that in future, all sales cheques will be dispatched within 48 hours of the end of artWEEK.

Jenny Shaw who was tragically killed in a road accident, was a lovely lady who contributed much to artWEEK over many years as a potter and exhibitor, friend, volunteer helper and generous contributor to the raffle.

David Hammond who died earlier this year was, as many will know, a Huddersfield Examiner Art Critic, keen photographer and a great fan and supporter of the Exhibition. Despite his intermittent poor health, David was always charming, cheerful, and ever willing to help out.

We are poorer for their loss but richer for having known them.
