Apply for 2014

Holmfirth Artweek 2014 starts on Sunday July 20th and runs until Saturday July 26th. It is open to all artists, both amateur and professional. Each person may submit up to two pieces. Whilst there is no selection process for public entries, space is limited and the exhibition is always over-subscribed. As such, it is necessary to hold  an impartial draw to select each year’s exhibitors.

There is no application form for this part of the process and details about the work to be submitted aren’t required at this stage. Sending photos is not necessary.

Applications can only be accepted if accompanied by a cheque or postal order for £10.00 made payable to ‘Holmfirth Artweek’ and a large stamped, self-addressed envelope (preferably C5 size or above). Please ensure your envelope has sufficient postage as any shortfall will be paid by the charity, hence reducing the total amount donated to Macmillan Cancer Support.

If your application is successful you will receive instructions in the 2nd week of May 2014 about how to submit your work. If your name isn’t drawn then your cheque will be returned. If you aren’t lucky this time around please do try again the following year.

Holmfirth Artweek Fringe 2014

Artists and venues wanting to take part in the Fringe this year should contact our Fringe Coordinator
Deadline is 12th March 2014.

There is an admin fee of £40.00 for every Fringe venue taking part in Holmfirth Artweek to cover print and marketing. Additional print items will be available to order – price on application. Reasonably priced advertising is available on the website, in the Fringe flyer and also in the catalogue.

All Fringe Venues will receive a free listing on the Fringe Venue page of the Artweek website, and will also be mentioned on the Artweek Facebook and Twitter pages.

Please note: The Artweek committee would like to remind everyone taking part in the Fringe that they ask for a 20% donation of all takings during Artweek, not a percentage of profits made. This is donated in full to Macmillan Cancer Support.

Holmfirth Artweek 2014 will be later than usual

Please note: because of the Tour de France Artweek has been put back 2 weeks to prevent any clashes between Taking-in Day and the start of Artweek.

Taking-in Day is Sunday 13th July 2014 and Artweek will run from Sunday 20th to Saturday 26th July 2014.
